Eating out in Blakeney, North Norfolk

Visitors & residents of Blakeney are very lucky as there are several lovely places to dine.

They are in no particular order

  • The Moorings- 'offers unpretentious contemporary cuisine in a relaxed setting'. At lunch time they have a very good lunch menu, including a very reasonably priced children's menu. They are open for coffee and cakes if you are just peckish. On a Sunday there is a superb 3 course Sunday lunch with all the trimmings for which booking is advisable as it is very popular and well worth the effort. Angela's puddings are truly scrummy. Having 3 children myself we are frequent visitors to The Moorings and it has to be one of our favourite places to eat in North Norfolk. The children would eat there every day if they could ! They are also open in the evenings when the restaurant takes on a more grown up feel with table cloths and wine glasses-lovely for a romantic evening out. They are located at the bottom of Blakeney High Street.

  • The White Horse Blakeney A very good pub on the high street in Blakeney serving a varied & quality menu including old favourites. Family Dining room available. Very popular so booking advisable in high season. Another favourite with our children as they love the beer battered haddock and chips and the J2Os. Lovely in winter for a romantic & cosy meal for two in the bar.

  • The Blakeney Hotel  I have never actually eaten here but I aspire to one day. My in laws speak very highly of it, as does my hairdresser. With 3 children in tow we have not quite got there yet. Superbly located on the Quay in Blakeney with views over the estuary

  • The Kings Arms Public House is situated in Westgate Street, Blakeney. Just a stone's throw away from the picturesque quay. Traditional English pub serving big portions of traditional pub grub. Garden for alfresco dining, as well as large family dining room and lots of space in the cosy bars.
