The local pubs in Blakeney are very dog friendly

Here are a few of our absolute favourite dog friendly pubs in Blakeney and surrounding area:

  • The White Horse Blakeney is very dog friendly-just 5 minute stroll from Gardeners Cottage and located at the bottom of the high street just up from Blakeney Quay and the Blakeney Cottage Company offices. Dogs are allowed in the bar at The White Horse and also in the outside seating area and the snug. In low season you can nearly always walk in with your dogs or dogs and get a table for a drink or meal but in high season or if you are in a big group its usually best to book as its very popular. Staff always make the dogs feel very welcome. Excellent food and service.

  • The Kings Head Blakeney is very dog friendly-a traditional pub serving good food about a 5-10 minute walk from Gardeners Cottage. Lots of seating inside and outside so you will usually be able to get a table although it can get very busy. Good food and enormous portions. Very popular with locals and visitors alike.

  • The Morston Anchor is very dog friendly-you can walk to this lovely dog friendly pub in Morston along the coastal path from Blakeney. The walk will take about 30 minutes each way. It is a nice easy dog friendly walk from Blakeney as its mostly on the flat and gives excellent views across the Blakeney marshes. The dogs can be off lead and have a good run around so nicely relaxed by the time you get to the pub at Morston. This is one of our favourite pub walks with the dogs. At the pub dogs are allowed in the bar and there is also a small outside seating area. If you don’t fancy walking its about 5 minutes by car from Blakeney.

  • The Wiveton Fruit Farm-very dog friendly- a total delight though always best to book as it its very, very popular since it became famous on the Normal For Norfolk TV series. About a 15-20 minute walk from Blakeney or a 3 minute drive. Definitely worth going to as the food and ambience is wonderful. Try to go on a sunny day and sit outside as the views are exceptional.
