Afternoon walks to Morston from Blakeney Quay

Walk from Blakeney Quay

The weather has warmed up so we took the opportunity to walk from Blakeney to Morston along the coastal footpath with the dogs last week. The walk is on the flat and took us about 30 minutes each way. It's a nice walk to do with the dogs as it gives you great views across the marshes toward Blakeney point. At the end of the walk you can either sit and admire the view from Morston Quay or walk into Morston and go to the Anchor public house for lunch or drinks which is dog friendly. If you were very organised you could bring a picnic to have at Morston. The walk starts just by the Blakeney sign on the quay and you simply follow the gravel path shown here which takes you behind the houses and onto the North Norfolk coastal path.

Alternatively, you could wait until you get back to Blakeney for your refreshments and pop into the Grey Seal Coffee Shop which is just around the corner. Dogs are welcome in there to and there chocolate brownies and tiffin are divine. If you are after something more substantial to eat and drink there are lots of places to eat in Blakeney including The Kings Head Public house (dog friendly ) and The White Horse Public House ( also dog friendly )
