Cottage Garden White Delphinium Seed

A hardy perennial, producing multiple upright stems of white flowers in June.

We have found the white to be the most reliable and vigourous of the Delphiniums we grow in the cottage garden. While quite closely planted with woody rose bushes, it manages to be self-supporting, which is a bonus. 

Dies back following the first frost and overwinters underground.

Tolerates most soil types, and is disease resistant. 

Why Grow White Delphiniums?

• 🏡 Classic traditional Cottage Garden Plant – A traditional English cottage garden plant for herbaceous flower borders, 

• Bees love it in early Spring and summer
• A long-lived and hardy, very reliable perennial. Will sometimes give a smaller second flush if dead-headed.

Growing Information:

• 🌱 Sow: best sown in pots of seed compost and transplant to flowering position when seedlings have been grown on to 4-5 leaves.

• ☀️ Position: Full sun, partial shade, likes a well-cultivated and fed soil with a shady, moist root run

• 📏 Spacing: for maximum impact grow in clumps of 2-5-7 plants 60-70cm apart.

• 🌾 Harvest: makes an impressive cut flower stem
